Rafael Oliva Santos
President
Rafael is a passionate problem solver with several years of experience in the Software Development Industry and a strong academic background. Experienced IT leader with a solid understanding of software enterprise and cloud-native architectures able to build and guide high-performance development teams. Results-driven, customer-focused and analytical professional with a strong teamwork capacity, a deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle, and an excellent record of delivering enterprise applications using a variety of technologies.
Currently, he is working as a Consultant in the position of Solution Architect at Desjardins. Previously, from 2016 to 2021, he worked as as Manager, Software Architecture and Database Administration at Sigma Analysis & Management Ltd. Before, He was a Full Professor at the University of Havana (2005-2015) where he taught courses related to Databases, Business Intelligence, Information Retrieval, and Knowledge Representation at master and bachelor levels. He have also worked at the Software Development House at the University of Havana in various roles, including Software Architect and Senior Software Developer. He hold a Ph. D. in Computer Science from the University of Alicante (2013), a Master Degree in Computer Science (2009) and a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science (2005) from the University of Havana.
